The MLB season is picking up steam.
Let’s take a look at the odds for which two players will separate themselves from the rest by winning MVP at the end of the year, with odds from FanDuel Sportsbook as of June 19.
American League MVP 2025
Aaron Judge: -10000 (bet $10 to win $10.10 total)
Cal Raleigh: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Bobby Witt Jr.: +6000 (bet $10 to win $610 total)
Jose Ramirez: +10000 (bet $10 to win $1,010 total)
Tarik Skubal: +12000 (bet $10 to win $1,210 total)
Gunnar Henderson: +15000 (bet $10 to win $1,510 total)
What to know: We’re nearly midway through the 2025 season, and the AL MVP race appears … over? Aaron Judge — last year’s winner — has been this year’s favorite since before Opening Day. As we near the end of June, Judge is leading the MLB in batting average (.366) and hits (101), second in home runs with 26 and tied for third with 60 RBIs. Simply put, he is the best hitter in baseball. Judge is looking to become the first back-to-back AL MVP winner since Miguel Cabrera won the award in 2012 and 2013.
National League MVP 2025
Shohei Ohtani: -600 (bet $10 to win $11.67 total)
Pete Crow-Armstrong: +850 (bet $10 to win $95 total)
Corbin Carroll: +2500 (bet $10 to win $260 total)
Pete Alonso: +3500 (bet $10 to win $360 total)
Juan Soto: +4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
Fernando Tatis Jr.: +4000 (bet $10 to win $410 total)
What to know: Shohei Ohtani is in the same boat as Judge, opening the year as the favorite after winning the NL MVP last season and only seeing his odds shorten. Currently, he leads the NL in home runs (25) and is third in hits (85). Presumably, his RBIs would be higher (he only has 43) if he didn’t bat leadoff, meaning he is often up to the plate with no runners in scoring position. Ohtani is looking to win back-to-back NL MVP awards for the first time since Albert Pujols did it in 2008 and 2009. However, he won the AL MVP in 2023 and NL MVP in 2024, making him the first player in MLB history to win MVP back-to-back in each league.
